Palestine Ambassador pays a courtesy call to MyCARE

Wednesday, 16 January 2019 – Palestine Ambassador to Malaysia H.E Walid Abu Ali paid a courtesy call today to the Chairman of Humanitarian Care Malaysia (MyCARE), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hafidzi Mohd Noor.
During the meeting His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation for the contributions of MyCARE in providing assistance to Palestinians in their homeland and in the diaspora.
His Excellency registered his gratefulness to the Government and the people of Malaysia for the solidarity and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause over the years. He praises the Malaysian Prime Minister, YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad for registering the strongest support for the Palestinians at the United Nations and other international forums on countless occasions.

The Malaysian government decision of not allowing Israeli Paralympics athletes to participate in the international swimming meet in Sarawak is the most recent, whereby Tun has again stood up with and for the Palestinian people. His excellency reiterated by thanking Malaysia’s strong stand in this regard.
His Excellency has offered to assist MyCARE to gain access to Palestinians in the West Bank and al-Quds in particular for the purpose of providing the much needed humanitarian aid there. Mutual visits for education, medical and training purposes can be duly arranged. Since the Embassy also represents Palestinian interests in Thailand, Brunei and the Maldives, His Excellency will help assist MyCARE in building a strong regional network in those countries to this end.
Humanitarian care Malaysia (MyCARE) would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the Ambassador H.E Walid Abu Ali for the visit and support towards MyCARE in championing Palestine issues. The Board of Trustees and The Managenent of MyCARE were very much humbled and honoured with the visit of H.E to the Headquarters of MyCARE.
Also present, MyCARE chief Executive Officer Tn Hj. Kamarul Zaman Shaharul Anwar, MyCARE Board of Trustee and Chairman of Malaysia Women’s Coalition for Al-Quds and Palestine, Dr. Fauziah Mohd Hasan, and First Secretary to Palestine Embassy, Ahmed. A Bhais.
