Sheikh Khalil Al-Hayya pays a courtesy call to MyCARE

SRI KEMBANGAN, 24 December 2019 – Sheikh Khalil Al- Hayya (member of the Palestinian Legislative Council representing Gaza city) paid a courtesy call today at MyCARE office; recieved by Dr. Mohd Zin Kandar, MyCARE Board of Trustee. He was attending the four-day Kuala Lumpur Summit 2019 which ended last Saturday.

Syeikh Khalil emphasized in his speech that all parties should refrain from normalizing relations with Israel. He added that Israel’s occupation of the West Bank including Jerusalem and Gaza strip has resulted in systematic human right violations against Palestinians living there. He also reiterated Al-Aqsa is in extreme danger and Gaza is still under siege, the biggest open air prison.

During the meeting he expressed his deep appreciation for the contributions of MyCARE and other NGOs in providing assistance to Palestinians in their homeland and in the diasporas. He registered his gratefulness to the Government and the people of Malaysia for the solidarity and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause over the years.
